S&P might downgrade Clisa

S&P said it placed its B- corporate credit and issue-level ratings on Clisa - Compania Latinoamericana de Infraestructura & Servicios SA on CreditWatch negative.

The agency said the CreditWatch placement reflects rising uncertainties over Clisa's financial performance following higher interest expenses and potential operating challenges given the judicial investigations of its main shareholder.

Those factors could further heighten refinancing risk while weakening the company's liquidity and leverage profile, S&P said.

The agency said it plans to resolve the CreditWatch listing over the next 45 to 60 days.
