Citizens & Northern shareholder reports initial 9.37% ownership stake

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 4 - A group of Citizens & Northern Corp. shareholders led by Sandler O'Neill Asset Management, LLC bought 1.1 million shares on Nov. 25 for $8.00 per share, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

With the purchase, Sandler O'Neill has an initial 9.37% stake in the Wellsboro, Pa., bank holding company.
