Moody’s gives Citigroup A3

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned an A3 issuer rating with stable outlook to Citigroup Inc., in line with Citigroup's A3 senior debt ratings.

“The A3 issuer rating of Citigroup reflects management's patient execution of a strategy to simplify Citigroup's operations, materially reduce its global footprint, enhance its safety and soundness and pursue sustainable client-led growth,” the agency said in a news release.

“Citigroup now has a more resilient solvency profile.”
