Moody's assigns BlackRock P-1

Moody's Investors Service said it has assigned a P-1 short-term issuer rating to BlackRock, Inc. and affirmed the company's long-term debt rating at A1.

The outlook is stable.

Moody's stated that BlackRock's short-term issuer rating is based on the company's strong cash flow and earnings capacity, as well as the company's good liquidity and low leverage.

Moody's said it expects the company will maintain a solid financial profile and good liquidity in spite of ongoing turbulence in the credit and equity markets.
