Barclays redeems $9.92 million optimization securities on MasterCard

Madison, Wis., Jan. 31 - Barclays Bank plc gave notice that it redeemed its $9,919,910 of outstanding autocallable optimization securities with contingent protection due Jan. 6, 2012 linked the common stock of MasterCard Inc. on Jan. 31.

The securities were redeemed at 101.46.

The Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee for the redemption.
