New Issue: Bangor, Maine, prices $56.5 million of G.O. bonds

New York, July 31 - The City of Bangor, Maine, priced $56.5 million of series 2012B general obligation bonds, according to a pricing sheet.

The bonds (Aa2) were sold competitively, but the issuer did not return calls for the winning bidder by press time Tuesday.

The bonds are due 2014 to 2036 with term bonds due in 2039 and 2042. The serial coupons range from 3% to 5%. The 2039 bonds have a 3.5% coupon priced at 99.135, and the 2042 bonds have a 4% coupon priced at 105.098.

Proceeds will be used to refund bond anticipation notes, which were issued to partially fund the construction of a replacement for the Bangor Arena/Civic Center.
