New Issue: Banco do Brasil prices $1.75 billion 3 7/8% notes due 2022 to yield 4%

Atlanta, Oct. 2 - Banco do Brasil SA priced a $1.75 billion issue of 3 7/8% notes due Oct. 10, 2022 (Baa1/BBB/) at 98.978 to yield 4%, a market source said.

The notes were talked at a yield in the 4 3/8% area.

BB Securities, BNP Paribas, Bradesco BBI, BTG Pactual, Citigroup and JPMorgan were the bookrunners for the Securities and Exchange Commission-registered deal.

Proceeds will be used for general banking purposes.

The lender is based in Brasilia, Brazil.
