Former Associated Wholesalers secures 75-day exclusivity extension

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Sept. 14 – ADI Liquidation, Inc., formerly Associated Wholesalers, Inc., received an extension of its exclusive plan filing and solicitation periods, according to an order filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company’s exclusive filing period was extended to Oct. 26 from Aug. 10 and its solicitation period to Dec. 21 from Oct. 5.

According to the motion, the extension will allow the company to work toward a consensual Chapter 11 plan and continue to work to resolve issues arising in connection with asset purchaser disputes and the reconciliation of significant claims.

The extension also allows ADI to work to liquidate remaining assets and “address other pressing case issues,” the motion said.

Associated Wholesalers is a cooperative food distributor and equipment retailer based in Robesonia, Pa., that filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 9, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-12092.
