Avado Brands posts $2.27 million April operating loss

Pittsburgh, May 27 - Avado Brands Inc. reported a $2.27 million operating loss in April on revenues of $20.81 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
In March, the company posted operating income of $2.76 million on revenues of $26.38 million.
The net loss for April was $5.93 million, compared to a net loss of $581,000 in March.
As in March, there was no cash at April 30.
Avado, a Madison, Ga., restaurant company, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 4, 2004. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-31555.
