Artio Local Emerging Markets Debt Fund to change name, strategy May 1

San Diego, Feb. 29 - The Artio Local Emerging Markets Debt Fund will change its name to the Artio Emerging Markets Local Currency Debt Fund on May 1, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Along with the name change, the fund will change its investment policy to invest at least 80% of its net assets in fixed-income and short-term money market instruments of issuers located in emerging market countries, including forward foreign exchange contracts denominated in emerging market currencies.

Until May 1, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in fixed-income instruments, including forward foreign exchange contracts denominated in emerging market currencies.

New York-based Artio Global Management LLC is the fund's investment adviser.
