American Commercial Lines creditors vote for reorganization plan

New York, Dec. 7 - American Commercial Lines LLC's plan of reorganization won support from its creditors, according to voting results filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

Voting in the main classes was as follows:

* Senior secured claims in class 1 voted 100% in favor, covering $299 million of claims;

* Maritime lien claims in class 2 voted 100% in favor, covering $4.8 million of claims;

* General unsecured claims against American Commercial Barge Line LLC in class 5 voted 97.6% or $129.0 million by dollar amount and 83.1% by number in favor;

* General unsecured claims against American Commercial Lines International LLC in class 6 voted 96.4% or $72.5 million by dollar amount and 72.2% by number in favor;

* General unsecured claims against Jeffboat LLC in class 7 voted 96.4% or $72.6 million by dollar amount and 75.0% by number in favor;

* General unsecured claims against Louisiana Dock Co. LLC in class 8 voted 96.4% or $73.2 million by dollar amount and 80.0% by number in favor;

* General unsecured claims against American Commercial Terminals LLC in class 9 voted 95.8% or $72.5 million by dollar amount and 66.7% by number in favor;

* General unsecured claims against American Commercial Lines LLC in class 11 voted 96.4% or $73.1 million by dollar amount and 68.4% by number in favor;

* General unsecured claims against various subsidiaries in class 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 voted 96.4% or $72.5 million by dollar amount and 70.6% by number in favor;

* PIK note claims in class 22 voted 74.0% or $65.2 million by dollar amount and 64.7% by number in favor.

American Commercial Lines, a Jeffersonville, Ind.-based marine transportation company, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 31, 2003. Its Chapter 11 case number is 03-90305.
