Kazakhstan's Alliance Bank unit delays payment amid restructuring

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, April 22 - Alliance Bank said ALB Finance BV has delayed the eighth coupon interest payment due April 19 on its $150 million of termless international bonds, according to a news release.

The bank said it decided not to pay creditors whose debt claims were supposed to be restructured, and the bonds in question are part of the restructuring.

Alliance Bank is focused on small and medium enterprises and the retail segment. It is based in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
