Fitch ups AIG Finance Hong Kong outlook to positive

Fitch Ratings said it revised AIG Finance Hong Kong Ltd.'s outlook to stable from negative and affirmed its A+ long-term and F1 short-term local-currency issuer default ratings, C individual rating and 1 support rating.

The outlook revision follows Fitch's affirmation of the AA issuer default ratings on AIG Finance's parent group, American International Group Inc., and the removal of the rating from negative watch.

The affirmation of AIG was based, in turn, on the agency's view that the majority of the uncertainties surrounding the AIG group over the past 12 to 14 months had been resolved and that the company's financial profile and competitive positioning remain supportive of its current ratings.
